OVERVIEW

My client is a leading Tier 2 builder successfully delivers projects across commercial, retail, education and aged care sectors with typical values ranging from $50 to $100m+. They are an experienced steady growth and built a great reputation as being one of NSW’s most reputable builders.

Reporting to the company QSE / Site Manager you will help ensure all safety procedures are met allowing the delivery of quality construction projects in a safe environment. In this role, roaming between construction sites your duties will include;

Reinforcing and promoting the company safety culture
Organizing and executing site safety meetings
Checking and monitoring Safe Work Method Statement
Ensuring site safety procedures and policies are being adhered to correctly
Management and education of sub-contractors
Conducting site inductions when required
Organising and conducting tool box talks
Performing weekly safety report for the site
Risk assessments
Maintaining safety files
Conducting formal incident investigations when necessary
Monitoring subcontractors, suppliers, consultants activities
To be suitable for the position, candidate will possess the following;

Should have a Cert IV in OHS
Occupational or Senior First Aid
Other construction safety qualifications are encouraged
Will have worked for reputable mid-tier commercial contractoirs who will have OHS systems in place
Will have ideally come from a site background as there is a requirement to manage sub-contractor and trades
Must have been an OHS / Safety Advisor on commercial construction projects for reputable, mid-tier builders in Australia.
